Ten Pin Bowling

Since year 6 I have been interested in maths and have injoyed many maths games and at the moment I have been interested in a game called ten pin bowling. It is where you role three dice and then try and make the numbers from one to ten useing those three numbers. This game was introduced to me by my current maths teacher. For example 2,4,3
1=(4-2)to the power of 3
2=4-3*2
3=4-3+2
4=3-2*4
ect.
I just thought it would be fun to get a few followers and have a compotition to see who could get all the numbers from 1- 10 and post your answers as comments
hopefully I will do this 1-2 times a week this weeks numbers are easy 1,2,4
have fun!

The rules are:
you can use any mathmatical symbol.
you can't introduce any new numbers.
you have to use all the numbers
